R. Christopher Irwin III, Partner

The firm’s newest partner, Chris Irwin is a diverse and tenacious trial lawyer and an active community service volunteer.

Since joining the firm in 2000, he has advocated for clients involved in medical malpractice, personal injury, civil rights, government liability and other cases before judges and juries in state and federal court.

Irwin is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, the Western Circuit Bar Association and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice in state trial and appeals courts throughout Georgia and the federal trial and appeals courts for middle and northern Georgia.

A second-generation lawyer, Irwin grew up in Atlanta, attended The Westminster Schools, and earned his bachelor’s degree in history and theatre from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia Law School in 2000. While there, he was selected for the Order of the Barristers and Lumpkin Inn of Court and was an officer for the Mock Trial Board.

His service to the community has included a school reading project, tutoring for the Athens Justice Project, recording texts for the blind and dyslexic and leading the music and youth group at his church.
